Established in 1987, PIHT is located in Uniontown, PA. Our new campus opened in 1997, offering students ample free parking and lots of green open space.

Our goal is to provide you with the skills you need to begin your career in a short period of time. Through career-focused classes and hands-on training, you can earn an associate in specialized business degree in months not years.

Business Administration - Associate in Specialized Business-Occupational

Through well-rounded business and technology training and hands-on externship opportunities you can obtain the skills you need for the career you want and the future you and your family deserve. No matter the state of the economy, businesses always need employees with these skills.



Medical Assisting - Associate in Specialized Business-Occupational

The PIHT Medical Assisting Program is designed to prepare students for positions in various medical settings. Students are trained to assist physicians and other health-care professionals in the examination and treatment of patients in doctors’ offices and hospitals. They are also prepared for medical office administration careers.



Medical Office Administration - Associate in Specialized Business-Occupational

The Medical Office Administration (MOA) program at PIHT prepares students with the hands-on training needed for career success. The MOA program graduates are prepared for a wide array of entry-level office administration and computer operation positions in the medical field and beyond. Comprehensive medical course work coupled with general education and technology courses prepares students for a wide array of careers in hospitals as well as medical and business offices.



Network and Software Solutions - Associate in Specialized Business-Occupational

The PIHT Network and Software Solutions program is designed to prepare students for positions requiring technology skills in today’s business world. Graduates are trained for positions in small and large businesses, retail, and government and industrial offices.

The NSS program at PIHT prepares students by offering them detailed courses including Windows operating systems, word processing, database, internet concepts, website creation and application, network infrastructure, troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair. Business management courses are included to provide a well-rounded curriculum that will maximize the students’ career potential. Graduates are instructed to sit for certification in various computer programs to enhance their job marketability.



Practical Nursing - Associate in Specialized Business-Occupational

The nursing industry is growing due to the following trends:

  • Americans are generally living longer due to improved preventive medicine and new medical technology.
  • The average age of current nurses is rising and there are not enough nurses entering the profession to replace theses critical positions.
  • The demand for nurses is also increasing because more medical procedures are delivered on a out patient basis.

Graduates function as caring practitioners who must offer sound judgments based upon working closely with patients. Practical nurses are an integral member of the heath care team who work hand in hand with doctors, medical specialists and other nurses to provide patient treatments and care.
